Your partner's privacy is the foundation of Phasely. This policy explains clearly what data the app collects, why, and how it is handled.
All cycle phase calculations, mood analysis, and AI inference run entirely on your device. No messages you paste, no mood scores, and no cycle dates are transmitted to any server unless you explicitly enable cloud backup (a Pro feature).
Without cloud backup enabled, the only information that reaches our servers is the minimum required to operate the PRO subscription and referral features:
Anonymous Device ID. A random UUID generated on first launch. It has no connection to your name, email, or any personal information.
PRO Subscription Status. Whether your device ID has an active PRO entitlement and when it expires, derived from store purchase verification.
Referral Code Usage. Which device IDs participated in a referral exchange, so both parties receive their PRO reward.
When you enable cloud backup, your cycle and mood data is encrypted on-device with AES-256 before upload. Our servers store only the encrypted blob — we cannot read the contents. The encryption key is derived from your device ID and never leaves your phone.
PRO subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play or the App Store. All payment information is handled exclusively by those platforms under their own privacy policies. We receive only a verified confirmation that a valid purchase exists.
We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics platforms.
Anonymous device records are retained for up to two years after last activity. Encrypted sync data is deleted within 30 days of Pro expiry. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform in a private Kubernetes cluster. All data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Sync payloads are AES-256 encrypted before they leave your device.
